Lovebirds

I'm so in love with my senegal. She's 16 years old. She loves to cuddle and kiss me. Most of all she loves her head scratched. She's good most of the time, but when she's got tude.....she's got TUDE! I know I've posted about her before, but she's a huge part of my life and I like to share. She's fuzzy and soft and melts my heart, plus she's got the cutest long skinny toes you've ever seen. I would love to get her a pair of flip flops.

I like my bird too. I like to stroke her, kiss her, scratche her, play with her. She could be nice and soft but when I caress her, she would get excited and rear her bald red head. Then she spits out stuff. She is not fuzzy like your senegal but kind of hairy and has a wrinkled lower body. I like to hold her and she fits nicely in my hand. She could be strong and more like a he than a she. Me gusta jugar con mi pájarito.

Awww she is a cutey!! I wish birds didn't intimidate me so much. I have no idea why but I have such a hard time around them. :)

CarynSKA- Thanks. Don't you just love them, awww they make me melt. Mine can be loud sometimes. Mostly when there is people over. Which is kind of a pain. I love her anyways. :)

C-I know huh. (a mother can say that) :)
Oh it's Lulu.

Luv- You're bad. :) You call your penis a bird? LOL
There are pink birds.....flamingo, mollucan cockatoo, cascade cockatoo, rosey cocatoo......

Gray- I know several people that are intimidated by birds. I think it's like anything else.....we all have fears or intimidation of one thing or another. I just about come unglued when I'm around reptiles. I've grown up with birds, it's what I know. I've also handraised exotics. It's just an attraction of mine, but not for everybody.

Bob- Mine's a senegal and CarynSKA has a conure. I know mine has a life expectancy of about 30 years. I think conures are around the same 20-25? Do you know CarynSKA? The bigger birds like macaws and cockatoos live about 90 years. Most of the time they have more than one owner. It's kind of sad because the average person doesn't aquire a bird until maybe they are in their 30's or 40's. They are expensive and take a lot of care and time if properly raised. Average human life is what 80? The bird out lives the owner and it's passed down or sold...an so on. It takes a certain person for a bird and most of the time they just become decoration in the corner of the living room that screams and makes a mess.
