Fric and Frak

I like to share art that speaks to me. Works that inspires me and makes me want to a better artist.

This particular artist is Micheal Brown he shows at a gallery near us called Sarah Bain Gallery.
She represents a great group of artists. Sally that is, ...she owns Sarah Bain Gallery. Sarah Bain being an old stage name.
Check it out if you have time.

Pamela Wilson, Lee Price, and this guy Micheal Brown are amongst my faves.

So there's your culture for the day!

Thank gawd that's what you mean.......I'm slow. I thought you might be going deaf and I thought that was an odd way to tell me. :)
Art speaks to us individually. Something might speak to someone and be silent or nonexistent to another. That's what's so interesting and awesome about it.

My own interpretation of this piece would be one of these innocent souls naive to the world, almost mentally childish in an adult body... thinking that the water tower in someway a spaceship or some type of radio tower. They are pretending to communicate and or be a part of this structure in the distance. The softness of the piece and plumpness of the human form and overall roundness of striped head pieces and towers makes me feel and inner child.
That's my thoughts and I'm sure that probably wasn't the artists intention but that is what I got out of it. I love that art makes my mind wander.
