American Gothic

We worked in the yard this weekend. Between the arboretum and Lowes we bought about 56 plants for our flower beds. It doesn't look like that many but I guess when it fills in it will. We have two flower beds that look like the one pictured, they mirror each other. Behind them (not picutred) is our new miniature orange grove ( 8 miniature orange trees). Hubby will build a cool little fence in front of them about 18" high. I will post a picture of it when it is done.
We tried the life imitating art thing....Did we pull off American Gothic? The top pic is our version of it.

Great modernisation of American Gothic.
I especially like the T-shirt you are wearing.

Bigger- It's not perfect believe me. Actually we need to re-seed once we are done with all this yard redo. But what a nice compliment. We have bermuda taking over fescue and nut grass popping up all over. Anyone know how to get rid of nut grass? Round Up doesn't work.

annalise-hummmm, I have secrets so maybe that's why it worked so well.

L0nestar5-It's fun to wear.

Kraxpelax-uh, yeah.
