Boom, boom ,boom!

Fireworks surround us on any given night. All my life I have heard and have seen the Disneyland fireworks at 9:35pm. Just recently have been turned on to the Angel stadium fireworks and a great place to view them. Top of the 8th our friends and us make our way into the adjacent parking lot of the stadium. The show happens immediately at the end of the game. In the parking structure behind the Hooter's is where we wind our way to the top and where only a handful know about. Those who do know have lawn chairs and snuggies. (No Snuggies for me please, just the back of the Saab and a sweatshirt). The views from this particular spot are fantastic! You overlook the back part of the parking lot where they set up the explosives and light them from. In between there is a tiny dry grass area in which dudes stand in with there fire extinguishers when the shrapnel???(bob)? lands and is still is flaming. We hope for this everytime, and last night was one of the times there was a mini fire. (Doesn't take much to amuse us). The fire works are smack dab front and center to you. You get left over bits and pieces landing on you and we collect the cardboard chunks that come down from the sky. It depends if there is a breeze or not. By the time it ends, we jump in our cars and race down, down, down the parking structure to avoid the crazy traffic jams.

Barbeque joint for dinner, coffee and gelato after and then fireworks.......Wheeeew, what a Friday night!

It's always 4th of July here.

Actually, the real fireworks for me would be watching the working babes at Hooters come and go in their parking lot. Bang!

But your routine sounds fun, especially the barbecue with friends. Great social opportunity.

I checked Wikipedia for fireworks and found this:

In 2004, Disneyland in Anaheim, California, pioneered the commercial use of aerial fireworks launched with compressed air rather than gunpowder. The display shell explodes in the air using an electronic timer. The advantages of compressed air launch are a reduction in fumes, and much greater accuracy in height and timing.

Interesting stuff on this link:

I love firework. Kind of explosion of anticipation and excitement. Like sex. Happy that you enjoyed the outing.
