Our class critique is today. I'm still not finished and probably won't be for another week. We also have a potluck during our critique so I'm bringing macaroni pie. I still need to work on the back ground and dial in the wheels a bit more and the final part will be the spokes. During all that I will be hitting places all over to unify everything.

Looks fantastic La Roo. Good luck at the critique
I LOVE this painting!!! And just so you know, I come from a family of painters and other visual artists -- didn't rub off on me, unfortunately. I'm all words. But I have the EYE. ;-) SO I'm not just saying I love it... I just love it. Similar to when I loved watching you make a sandwich. Aliveness.
I wish I could see this in person. A picture on a laptop doesn't quite cut it in terms of apprehending the whole...
I'm interested in the follow-up...
Well how did it go?
Over all it was a crowd pleaser. I got one comment that it looked like I was sitting on a pier? Another that the wheel looked like a ladder. Which is fine and I'm not finished so all that will be worked out. Actually the subject matter was a big conversation and the questions and thoughts of what everybody thought it meant. The majority said it was about independence. Which basically they were right.
Gaz- Thanks
Sulpicia- Wow, thanks for the kindness. You like my sandwich making huh? I'm just having fun doing whatever comes to mind. I will try to do some more things like that. :)
Bigger-refer to the top. :)
That is looking so cool!! I am really jealous, I wish I could paint. Sounds like the critique went very well!
This came out just beautiful. What a keepsake. I hope you display it in the gallery for all to see. It's not often one sees art that's so personal. You did good girl (as I knew you would).
Woha!! That's a masterpiece!!!! Would you be able to get a more detailed straight on picture of it once it's finished?
Eva I will get a real nice picture and post it when it's done.
you're so talented!
I know you don't like prints, but I'd love to have one of your pieces, even if its tiny. :-)
